Female Genital Mutilation In Sweden School

In the middle east, it has been the practice to circumcise the Clitoris, to increase the

passion among women.

After the advent of Islam, it was used as an instrument to increase the number of children,

the reason is to increase the Muslim population.

The procedure is reported to be painful.

Hence it is being labelled as Cruelty to women and the West, the Christian media

condemned the practice among the Muslims.

But now it has come to notice that the Christian Sweden is doing the same more

schematically, beginning at School level.

Any comments from the Christian Media?

Story:

The shocking scale of female genital mutilation (FGM) in a Swedish school, where every

single girl in one class had been subjected to the procedure, has been revealed.

School health services in Norrkoping, eastern Sweden, discovered 60 cases of FGM since

March, according to the Norrkopings Tidningar newspaper.

In the class where all of the girls had FGM performed on them, 28 were subjected to

infibulation – the most extreme kind where the clitoris and labia are complete cut away,

and the genitals are sewn to leave a small vaginal opening.

Additional local services have since been provided to help the girls.

FGM is carried out for cultural, religious and social reasons within families and

communities where it is believed to be a necessary preparation for adulthood and

marriage.

What is FGM?

Female genital mutilation (FGM), also known as female genital cutting and female circumcision, is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as “all procedures that involve partial or total removal of the external female genitalia or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.

FGM is practised as a cultural ritual by ethnic groups in 27 countries in sub-

Saharan and Northeast Africa, and to a lesser extent in Asia, the Middle East and

within immigrant communities elsewhere.

It is typically carried out, with or without anaesthesia, by a traditional circumciser using a knife or razor.

The age of the girls varies from weeks after birth to puberty; in half the countries for which figures were available in 2013, most girls were cut before the age of five.

The practice involves one or more of several procedures, which vary according to the ethnic group.

They include removal of all or part of the clitoris and clitoral hood; all or part of the clitoris and inner labia; and in its most severe form (infibulation) all or part of the inner and outer labia and the closure of the vagina.

In this last procedure, which the WHO calls Type III FGM, a small hole is left for the passage of urine and menstrual blood, and the vagina is opened up for intercourse and childbirth.

The health effectsdepend on the procedure but can include recurrent infections, chronic pain, cysts, an inability to get pregnant, complications during childbirth and fatal bleeding
